Garden Vacs
By Paul Wilkinson
Petrol Leaf Blowers and the Environment Are petrol (gas) leaf blowers green and environmentally friendly? Most people would say not likely, but they may be greener than you think! If you have trees in your garden, or even close by, you inevitably end up with your lawn, drive and pathways covered in leaves. Once they get wet it can be slippery and dangerous, so some clearance method needs to be used and in the busy lifestyle that many people lead, the quickest way to clear them is to use a leaf blower or garden vac. Then you can transfer them onto your compost heap where they will decompose into a rich compost for your organic vegetable garden or used around your flowers to revitalise the soil and give renewed vigour to your perennial plants. |
